Welcome to the LIRC (Linux Internet Relay Chat) homepage! LIRC is an Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client that was originally designed only for Linux, but will now be on all operating systems. The page that you see here is just a temporary page while we get a better and more interesting page up. Now, I know that nobody is just going to want to sit here and read an essay on how great our program is going to be, so here's something a little more interesting -- a brief features list:
- Easy-to-use interface -- LIRC will feature a thoughtfully designed interface for ease and style.
- Full support of RFC 1459 -- LIRC will feature full support of IRC Protocol.
- Scripting Back end! -- LIRC's scripting language will be similar to that of mIRC, but with much more. You will be able to create Classes, Functions, and Aliases. If you are new to scripting in LIRC, there will be a Beginner's mode. This will enable LIRC to check and make sure that your scripts will not loop infinitely and kill LIRC
